all of these guidelines and the like are just window dressing to make members think the unions are actually doing something. (And not just unions and their members.) There will be no shows that need playbills, cast, or crew etc until the need for social distancing ends, and once that happens, there will be no need for any of these guidelines. Now what's interesting to me is that we may see the pretextual adoption of some of these new "rules" (for digital playbills, stage dooring, etc) because it is a convenient way for producers and unions to move away from unpleasant/expensive/etc aspects of pre-Covid theatregoing. But lets remember that IATSE (and any other union or employer) has no role in the decisions to reopen Broadway.
